Pat was born and raised in a small town in Nebraska. He graduated cum laude from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, with a degree in Political Science. He then attended the University of Notre Dame Law School.
After graduation, Pat moved to Atlanta to accept a Staff Attorney position with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. While serving a three-year term as a Staff Attorney, he decided to make Atlanta home and was admitted to the Georgia Bar.
Early in his career, Pat served as an assistant district attorney in Fulton County where he prosecuted felony cases and gained valuable jury trial experience. His civil litigation experience began with a large national defense firm, where he represented some of the world’s largest insurance companies.
He tired of defending insurers and switched to representing injured people or the families of those killed because of the negligence of others. He found representing injured people or their families to be rewarding and challenging. He has dedicated his practice to those cases for well over a decade now.
Pat has handled catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases involving industrial accidents, consumer products, and tractor trailer and automobile collisions. He has also handled cases involving injury or death caused by a business’s or landlord’s failure to keep their premise safe.
He has varied litigation experience, having tried cases to juries in state and federal courts, as well has handling oral argument before the Georgia Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Pat is admitted to practice in all Georgia state and appellate courts. He is also admitted to practice in the Northern District of Georgia, the Middle District of Georgia, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court. He is a member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association.
When not working, Pat enjoys spending time with his wife Jen, their two young children, and their dog Lily Rose, who was adopted from Atlanta Lab Rescue.
